“MCT’s goal is to rescue these children from their social trap by creating an enabling environment for them. In addition, MCT is also making an investment in the infrastructure of the government schools, in fact when MCT took over the schools they were in no condition for students to learn and teachers to teach. At a cost of over 60 million all the three premises were renovated and new construction was done. There was no furniture so all furniture was procured. An additional 20 million was spent on Reverse Osmosis water plant, solar energy, etc.
About 150 teachers and support staff of 35 were hired at MCT expense to run the schools and make this vision a successful one.
No help from government has ever been taken and not a single rupee has been received. All staff is employed by MCT except few government employees.”
